The recipe
Ingredients (makes 24)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup jam (raspberry, apricot, strawberry)
Method
- Cream butter, sugar until fluffy
- Beat in yolk and vanilla
- Mix in flour and salt
- Roll into 1-inch balls
- Press thumb into center
- Fill with jam
- Bake 350°F for 12-14 minutes
