How the math works
- Turkey: ~1 lb per adult, ½ lb per child (bone-in weight). For boneless cuts, multiply by 0.7.
- Mashed potatoes: ⅓ lb potatoes per adult, ¼ lb per child.
- Brussels sprouts or green vegetable: ¼ lb per adult.
- Rolls: 2 per adult, 1 per child.
- Wine: 1 bottle per 3 adults (for dinner; more for parties).
- Sparkling cider / non-alcoholic: 1 bottle per 4 guests.
- Dessert: 1 portion per person + 20% buffer.
