The home may not qualify or be in good enough condition for VA financing. Also VA financing may not be one of the financing options offered by their seller. (Certain fees with a VA loan must be paid by the seller & not the buyer, like escrow)

Have you tried looking on OCWEN’s website for VA homes offering VA Lendee financing? http://www.ocwen.com/reo/residential/res_reofindbystate.cfm?proptype=VA

True Bull. I forgot Broker needs to go through the approval process to submit online offers on HUD homes. They also may not be familiar with the procedure.

I’d ask why they won’t. If they aren’t familiar with the process, move on to another agent.

I’m assuming you want to buy a house foreclosed on and being sold by HUD with a VA loan. Never tried this, but I really think this should be allowed, at least for a home in ok shape. Sounds like you need a new realtor. Buying HUD homes can be alot more work for the realtor and maybe they just don’t want to do the extra work (or possibly they are not even signed up with HUD to write contracts on HUD homes, or something).

There could be some legit reason for this, but I doubt it. Ask them for a full and detailed explanation and if they feed you BS I’d look for a new realtor.

VA home loans are a unique way of extending support to the US war veterans, who committed their lives in safeguarding the interests of the country. Therefore, understanding these loans is beneficial. VA housing loan program provides financial assistance to veterans so that they can purchase home at a favorable rate of interest and convenient loan terms. Loans provided by the VA are fixedproperty in a safe locality. Next, the veteran has to go to a lender and apply for a home loan. VA guaranteed loans are provided by private lenders that include banks, mortgage companies and savings and loan associations. No prepayment penalties and long amortization terms are another advantage of these loans.
