    Look in your phone directory for Danbury and find the “Dodge Room” or “Dodge Report” run by McGraw Hill. They should have a link to current cost pricing for residential property with several variables.

    Other option is to call an Architects office and ask to speak with either a project manager, an estimator or find the name of the estimating co. that they use.

    My husband builds and normally he says $ 120 per sq foot. (now this is in Michigan…..) It goes down the more work you do yourself.

    Talk to the city or county building inspector (depending on who has jurisdiction over that area. He should be able to give you a really good idea of what it would be. You could also check with the assessor’s office in that area to see what similar homes are going for (selling wise). A third idea is to have a licensed contractor give you a bid to replace the house just like it is. It may cost a small fee though.
