A friends landlord sold her house and she wants to know who bought it….she asked her old landlord who owns it now and he keeps giving her the run around…telling her they’ll send her a letterstating that.
The new owner hasnt sent her a letter or anything. ..her heat isnt working and she really needs to know.
Im sure she can go to the city hall to find out but she doesnt have time between work and all.

    This is a free website:

Just click “public records”, then your state, then your county, and you should be able to find it from there.

It often takes a while for the change of ownership to show up online. Maybe she can call City Hall on her lunch hour and see if they can look it up for her. If I were her I would also complain to the old landlord about the heat, over and over again. And if he tells her he sold the building and it isn’t his problem, she can say “Really, I don’t have any evidence of you selling it, so as far as I’m concerned you still own it, and I will call the housing board”.
