get a free copy of your credit report & dispute any incorrect data with the credit reporting agency. they have 30 days to response. provide detailed support.

I don’t think there’s any quick fix. It takes time to build up your credit status, by not defaulting on any future payments, making special lower payment arrangements with your creditors and sticking to them so that a pattern of regular payments is built up. It takes 6 years for credit details to come off your credit history. Also, don’t apply for too much credit – loans, credit cards etc because the amount of times you may be turned up is a deterrent to your applying in the future. Also, of course, get a copy of your Credit History from Experian, just £2, and check that they have got everything right and that if you have settled any debts they are shown as being satisfied. If anything is incorrect, write to Experian, but they have to have the evidence of settlement from the creditor itself, so you would have to contact the creditor to make sure they update the credit reference agency.
