The only one recommended by the Federal Government is http://www.annualcreditreport.com.

You can get a free copy of each of your credit reports there. If you want your score? You must pay for it.

annualcreditreport.com is the only truly free site. You can check each of your three credit reports (experian, equifax, and transunion) once a year for nothing. You have to pay extra if you want your actual credit score, but your concern is potential negative accounts so this should suffice.

Okay, first thing to let you know is that if you check your credit score, you are damaging it.
They don’t want you looking at it, so if you look, you pay for it.

I do not know of a website that would do it, or if you should trust a website to do it. But your bank or credit union should be able to do it. Most places do it for nothing or a small fee.

If you want a premium credit report….look at myfico.com they have a true 3 in 1 report that gives you complete credit information from all 3 agencies and all 3 credit scores from each agency. By far the best priced package!
