Do you have a credit card?
Pay it in full each month.
Get your credit reports and pay off items, that way your rating can start improving slowly with time

What I have done over the years is take smjall loans like 1000 and make a couple payments then pay the rest off. Its fast and easy and a credit builder.

Pay your debts on time without any reminders or negotiation for easier terms. Only go into debt for a small part of you income (Mortgage on your house is an exception to this but even there pay on time every time)
Your job will have a bearing on this and so will where you live

Well I had a pretty bad credit rating, then I proved I could use money in the right way for about a year then its all great!

Basically anything you buy you have to have a deposit right>? Well pay that deposit and keep up the payments then you will start to have good credit history.

If you get a credit card, keep up the payments as this shows you can be trusted.

It will take a while but once you get there its a great feeling!

Any finance that you have just make sure you keep up the payments!

If your in a bit more trouble (say £1000’s) then there are programs that can help you to put all the debts into one sum then after 1 or 2 years no matter if you have paid the debt off or not, it gets cleared and for the first 6 months you have the worst rating ever but then after that it turns to be the best!

(all this is assuming your in the U.K ? if not ignore that last bit)
