the tree fell on the corner of my house and dented the roof and some shingles were damaged. I was wondering if insurance companies usually re-shingle the whole house or just the part that was damaged? The roof on there now is 30+ years so I would rather them not replace a corner on a roof that has to be done.

You are so wasting your time here.

Call the insurance company. Ask THEM.

I live on the Texas Gulf Coast…..Hurricanes are a yearly happening sometime…..Be honest with the inspector…He will usually tell you what the Insurance Co. will do and not do…You really need to call them to get things started

This is how insurance company’s work. You pay them money and then when something happens and you file a claim they say it’s and act of God and then they cancel your policy.
