1 Thought on Since the Yen is appreciating, why don’t the Japanese gov. use the opportunity to reduce its foreign debt?

    The Minshutou is divided into two parts right now. One confirms that increasing sale tax to reduce debts should be done right now. The other suggests that the economy is still in deflation and strong Yen. It should fix the economy first and raise taxes later. The discussion is going on. The parliament will open the new session.Jimintou is not happy concerning the raising taxes and so the Japanese.
    Note. Foreign debt is less important in Japan, since most of public debts are domestic. What they do right now because of strong yen is to buy and expand business oversea extensively. Check it out.
