No. I don’t trust Congress, they already emptied out the money that we were putting away for our retirement and I see no reason why they wouldn’t seize these funds too..

We don’t have an income problem… we have a SPENDING problem

    CUT SPENDING, NO EARMARKS
If San Fran Nan stops her $ 1000 a week boozing on her $ 60,000 a trip Air Force Boeing 757, that would be a start…

    SIMPLE!

It would only take money away from the state lotterys. And the publicans would never keep their hands off.

Powerball (a multi state lottery) is already known as the “Idiot Tax,” considering your chances of winning are roughly you out of the rest of the nation. We don’t need the people to start wasting their money. The gov’t is doing a good enough job already.

I would support it, and I would like to see it set up to draw a winner at every million dollars or every 5 million at most. Instead of having one guy win 150 million, you could have 150 winners. That would increase the odds of winning and more and more people would want to play because they feel more like they have a chance. This would promote spending in multiple areas of the country which would boost the economy, and still provide money to help pay the deficit. I don’t see how you would ever keep the greedy politicians’ fingers out of the pot, though. They would figure out a way to steal half of it like they have done with everything else.

There is no doubt in my mind that day will come. Personally, I’m surprised that Obama hasn’t already offered it.
