I tried to lay this out in a way that would allow you guys to see how this is currently showing up on my credit reports. This refers to 3 specific loans = A, B and C

 

 

Acct (A) = $ 700

Acct (B) = $ 800

Acct (C) = $ 1700

 

 

(A) Dept of ED/Nelnet – Transferred/Sold – $ 700 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Past Due

(B) Dept of ED/Nelnet – Transferred/Sold – $ 800 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Past Due

(A+B) Great Lakes Higher Education – Transferred/Closed – $ 1500 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 ** NOTE ** I have never even heard of this place nor have I received any communication from them

 

 

(A) U S Department of EDU AFSA – Transferred/Sold – $ 700 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Past Due

(B) U S Department of EDU AFSA – Transferred/Sold – $ 800 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Past Due

(A+B) U S Department of EDU AFSA – Transferred/Sold – $ 1500 –  Date Opened 9-8-2011 (A+B = $ 1500) Pays as Agreed

 

(A) US Department of Education – $ 700 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Government Collections Account

(B) US Department of Education – $ 800 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Government Collections Account

(A+B) US Dept of EDN/GLEL – Transferred/Sold – $ 1500 – Date Opened 9-8-2011 – Pays as Agreed (A+B =$ 1500) – Pays as Agreed

 

 

(C) Panandle 3rd Party SL – Transferred/Sold – $ 1700 – Date Opened – 11-1-1998 – Pays as Agreed
(C) ACS/Panhandle Plains – $ 1700 – Open (11-1-1998) – Pays as Agreed – Forbearance

 

 

Is this not considered duplicate reporting? Are they allowed to do this?
