A few years ago I was struggling to keep up with mortgage payments, it almost went into foreclosure but I was able to re-finances at fixed 3.25 and it lowered my payments a couple hundred dollars a month. All good.
Of course it shows on time payments now for over 3 years- but there are still the late payments (up to 120 days) from when I fell behind. I have spoken with WF about removing them. I received a response back from them:
Thank you for your recent inquiry concerning a credit adjustment on the account referenced above.
WFHM has verified that the info sent to consumer …is accurate.
This is what I’m wondering about though: We have place a Compliance Condition Code on the account to convey that WFHM has completed the investigation of your disputed and you may not agree with the results. This narrative will display with the account information on your credit report which my be viewed by potential credit grantors.
If you agree w/the accuracy of the credit report for the account, please provide us with written notification stating that you agree. This notification should be returned WF using address provided on this letter. Once we receive you written notification, we will submit a request to the CRA”s to have the Compliance Condition Codre and the associated narrative removed from the account information on your credit file.
If your records to not agee, please provide…..blah blah.
So, what exactly IS a Compliance COndition Code/narrative on your account, does removing it help your account in any way? Not really sure what that means. Would it be in my interest to drop the ‘customer disagrees’ or leave as is?
