I sent a GW Chase via the secured message center a couple of weeks ago trying to get rid of a 30 day late payment from 2011. We haven’t been late since.

 

The first response was:

 

 

We understand your concern and apologize for any
inconvenience.

Although we regret your situation, Chase is required by
the FCRA and FACT Act to report accurate information to
the credit bureau reporting agencies. Therefore, a payment
delinquency can only be removed if Chase determines the
reporting of the delinquency is due to a Chase error or is
inaccurate. You may contact the credit bureaus for
information regarding noting your credit report within 30
to 45 days after your payment.

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free
to respond to this email. Our hours are Monday through
Friday from 7:00AM to 12:00AM and on Saturday and Sunday
from 9:00AM to 8:00PM Eastern Time.

 

 

I sent another GW letter today. This was the response:

 

Thank you for your recent email to Chase Auto Finance.

In response to your inquiry, we have submitted your
request to the appropriate department. The estimated
completion date is May 21, 2015, once your request has
been completed we will mail you a response to the address
listed below. Please allow regular mail time for receipt.

Is this a good thing? If they say no do I keep pushing the matter?
