Shock and awe! Scores in the 800 for well over a year and FNBO Omaha notices me that they are removing the “No Pre-set” Spending Limit on the Vision Visa Signature account and may impose an internal limit for balance transfers. Truth, I use the card for about $ 46 dollars a month and not much else as the rewards are 1:1 so I spend elsewhere. The account was opened in 09/11 with a pay on time in full every month. Use virtually no balance transfers. Only new account in the last several years was a Barclay’s Sallie Mae a year ago. Also, some credit limit/line increases fall of 2013 and nothing else. Who knows, maybe their next move is to FR me. Why? Reviewed their cards online and it seems the only card with the Visa NPSL is the Maximum Rewards. Very tempted to say goodbye. In the way distant past had cards from the First National Bank of Omaha and kicked them down the road due to high interest and poor rewards. May be time again. Truth, maybe I am being punished for not using the card. Additionally, I have a FNBO Discover Card with a hard credit limit with rewards at 0.50% per $ 1 of spend so it sits or sees a BT once in awhile. As most of you know, the Visa or Mastercard requirements are gone for Visa Signature, World & World Elite Mastercards being required to provide “no pre-set” spending limits. Just wondering who will be next? ;( While this does not create any real heart burn or effect my life style I still am down in the dumps as I clawed my way (like many of you have on this forum) to get good credit and the prime cards we desired. While FNBO never hit my list as a card I would have pursued, they pre-qualed me and I felt good about it. Feels like a baloon that just got popped. Funny how as I got good scores things seemed to happen. Since that Barclays SM was added to my profile Citi withdrew BTs, US Bank would not reallocate credlit lines and now the FNBO situation. Maybe I have too many cards and too much credit?! Many of us wonder about that fine tipping point (what is it). May be on it.
