I am looking for a website that can help me afford a home. It is just my son and I and we need to find and hopefully buy a home. Are there any good sites out there?
We live in Utah. Thanks a bunch!

A wonderful site that you could check out would be http://www.greatformoms.com This site has helped me and my family out financially and I know it can help your family, as well. It’s free to join and everyone is amazing.

Look in your local phone book and see if there’s a local chapter for Habitat for Humanity. I know around here (in central Alabama), H4H is always building for single mothers with young children. I’m not sure of the application process, but I do know that local churches and business are involved, donating time and materials. YOU will have to put in some “sweat equity”, but beyond that, it’s one of the best charitable causes I’ve ever come across.

How is a single mother any different than anyone else trying to buy a home? Contact a reputable mortgage lender and real estate broker and see what you can qualify for. If there are special programs you are eligible for your local mortgage lender should be able to help you with them.
