Now, the government was supposed to keep banks from lending to those who can’t afford a certain value home, but I have noticed several people are purchasing large homes they can’t afford to furnish and barely afford to make the payments coupled with taxes, utilities and other associated costs. They are a slave to their home. Is this becoming the norm?

Been like that for ever. Some people wish to show off and live beyond there means. Some have the attitude I deserve just as much as the next guy but what they dont’ see is debt and problems with keeping up with the jones just for the title. SO many people in the states lost there homes when the recession hit . as so many live beyond there means . Not figuring out what there take home pay is with a big mortgage they can’t sustain it all. and when things tighten up that when the house starts to crumble.

You will always have people in life wanting the best but not necessairly afford it. and alot too say screw it and live in debt. thats not the way to go however. but you can’t always teach people common sense.
