i dont have the $ $ for the closing costs, and my realtor told me that i coul qualify for chdap. but will i still get the 8000 for being a first time buyer when i do my taxes.

2 Thoughts on if i qualify for chdap for the closing costs, will i still get refunded the 8000 when i do my taxes?

    How you finance the purchase is not part of the qualification for the $ 8,000 FTHB credit. The only requirements are that you take title prior to Dec 1, 2009, and that you be a first time home buyer (including your spouse if you’re married) under the terms of the law.

    For a home purchased in 2009 the means of financing the home has no effect. Therefore you will qualify for the credit regardless of the CHDAP funding.
