3 Thoughts on I heard 850 is the highest credit score but I have an 853 and my rating is a B, what score does an A get?

    You likely have a vantage score and not a fico score. The top of the vantage range is 990. The top of the fico is 850.

    BTW: most lenders use the fico model to obtain your score. You can get this score from myFico.com. The other scores are often referred to as FAKO scores because they may or may not be close to the ratings you will get from fico. Look at the table in the link below and you will see the different methodology and weights given to certain categories.

    never heard of a letter rating – which credit bureau is your 853 with? -the scales are not exactly the same on all 3 bureaus – that one probably more likely has a max score of 900+

    Your FICO is not 853
    And you have a B rating because your score is more likely in the high 600’s or low 700’s

    What you are quoting is a FAKKO score or Vantage score. Lenders do not use this score to judge you credit worthy.
