If you only have $ 2000 I dont think you need to be thinking of becoming a property manager. If you want to buy a home to actually live in then you need to apply for a loan. Somehow I doubt you will qualify…

where do you plan on putting the home? – if not in mobile home park (which will cost you an extra 200-300 a month in rent), you need land to put it on and you need to have water, sewer and electrical hookups for it – $ 2000 will probably only buy you a piece of crap, with a leaky roof and other problems

First tip: Don’t do it. The type of renter you’ll attract to a cheap mobile home is not the type you want living in any place you own. A bad tenant can ruin a property in 30 days and put it in such a condition that it is unlivable. It is a good way to lose every penny of that $ 2,000. Quickly.

If you want to get into buying and selling mobile homes in parks you need to read “deals on wheels” by Lonnie Scrubs. This is the only book you need! Lonnie will teach you everything you need to know. And by the way, $ 2,000 is enough to purchase a mobile home in a park….if you do it the right way.
