There is only 1 way we can do it.. cut spending.

Income tax revenue is about 900 billion a year. By the end of this year, the deficit will be something in the area of 1.6 trillion. We would essentially need to triple taxes to cover Obama’s spending.. which would put a huge number of tax payers above 100% taxes.

    – Abolish the Fed, CIA, IRS, DOE, DOA, FDA, CDC, EPA, TSA, among other useless government agencies.

    – Shut down most if not all of the military bases we’ve got in something like 180 other countries.

    – Eliminate the income tax and see what I could do about eliminating most other unjust taxes.

Cut spending the national defense (which would require us getting out of Iraq and the rest of the middle east), with drawl from the UN, completely scrap the Department of Education, get rid of czars, push an amendment forcing the budget to be balanced with understandable reasons why it might not be (world wars etc.), pass an amendment giving term limits to congressmen abroad (senate and house) and also cut their income from 174,000 to around 30k. And of course decrease taxes and cut bureaucracy by passing the Fair Tax Plan.

Eliminate t waste. That means eliminating redundant agencies, eliminating Social Security for those that averaged 50k a year while they were working. (This will force people to save and not end up on govt handout). Eliminate the IRS and go to a flat tax of 12.5 %. All the man hrs in the IRS cost the nation millions if not billions of dollars a year. Get the country back to the Constitution, providing an education to the citizens and providing for a defense. We need to deport all the illegals, no amnesty!!! Cut Medicare by 40%, which would greatly reduce the budget.
I honestly believe we should go back to the gold standard. Our dollar isn’t worth the paper its printed on. Do you realize it cost 3 cents to make a penny?
I would call for ALL govt employees to take a 25% pay cut and I would eliminate pensions for Congress. Congressional pay should be equal to that of the national average. This would eliminate career politicians like Teddy Kennedy who was there for 40 yrs or more.
I would call for a Balanced Budget amendment, which would force govt to look at what is needed versus what is wanted. A line item veto would be included in this amendment.

There is no way you can balance the budget at this point with out imploding the economy….we have effectivly jumped off the cliff….all we can do right now is free fall until we hit rock bottom….You can get rid of Social Security, get rid of Medicare, etc. but all that would do at this point is just make the people that need it broke and sick…its like in the WW2 war movies were you know the guy that just got shot is about to die…you still use the morphine just so he dies peacefully….I feel the same analogy has to be applied with SS and Medicare…
