    There is no way to quickly rebuild credit. It takes years, especially if you have to overcome defaulted debts.

    If you have active credit cards, use the cards for small purchases and pay in full every month. I you don’t have active credit cards, get one, even if you have to get a secured card — you pay a deposit which is held as collateral against the line of credit.

    You need at least 24 months of consistent, on time payment history to improve your score/credit.

    It just isn’t going to happen quickly. You’ll have to be fastidious in your payment habits for at least a couple of years.

    Without knowing your exact situation and what is on your report, it is hard to say. Read this post that tells you some simple things you can do that have a positive effect on your score. For example, your credit utilization is a huge factor in your score. So if you have 1000 in available credit, you should neve have more than 30% charged.. so $ 300. If you have more than this charged and you pay it down to less than 30%, you will see an immediate rise on your score.
