We are trying to buy a home and we do not have a real estate agent, the house we are wanting to buy is a FSBO, we have decided verbally on the sale price of the house. But we are wanting to know how to draw up a legal contract so that it can be sent to our loan agency.

3 Thoughts on How do you prepare a contract to buy a home?

find a seasoned real estate professional to represent you on a fixed-fee basis. You have already found the property and negotiated a price. He or she can assist in assuring you have considered everything you need to know and address such things as property inspection, termite control and clearance, getting seller’s disclosures to protect you, etc. He/she will be well worth the money.

if you don’t have one yet, get a lawyer or loan officer. Or you can get one off the internet (but you run risk with this) lawyer or loan officer best bet
