I am searching for a home, and my agent (buyer’s agent) forwarded me an MLS listing for a single family home in the Bay Area.

When I tried to look it up on Redfin/Zillow/etc, it does not show up as listed at all.

To confirm the existence of listing, I had to go to the seller’s website and search by MLS ID. When I did this, there was a note saying “THE AGENT HAS REQUESTED THAT THIS LISTING NOT BE SHOWN ON THE INTERNET”

Why on earth would seller’s agent hide the listing on the internet? I smell a rat, or other shenanigans on the part of seller.*

My buyers agent didn’t really have any thoughts on the issue.
    Thanks.
