The post office lost my package. The tracking number confirmed its delivery on July 23rd. It is now Aug. 2nd and I still have no package. I called the USPS customer service and they directed me to the post office carrier. After speaking to the women (who was very rude on the phone) she would not waiver from the idea that she would have left a pink slip in our postal box and delivered the package to the leasing office at our apartment complex. I have not seen a pink slip and my leasing office has not received my package. She was insulted and rude when I asked if she may be delivered it to the wrong address (I am not ignorant to human error). There was no insurance on the package and after checking the company’s website I purchased the item from they do not accept responsibility for lost or stolen packages through USPS…. Though, I choose this shipping because it was free, no insurance was offered during the order and the website did not state the lack of responsibility on the purchasing page (IF THEY DID IT WAS FINE PRINT). What should I do? The post office is treating me like a liar. I was very polite on the phone. I am not trying to point fingers. Yes I am irritated the package is late but at this point all I care about is recovering it. The contents were worth $ 80, though that is not allot of money, I certainly don’t want to write it off. Is there any avenue I a missing or am I just SOL because it wasn’t insured. I can’t get a straight answer out of anyone, I don’t care whose fault it was I just want my package. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
