    TIm a noob home buyer.Find a house listing, calculate closing costs, taxes, pmi, and all the other costs associated with home ownership then realize the listing price is just a way to get some a lot of bids.

    Not exactly sure how the so called bidding wars are going for the rest of you guys, but from what I’ve heard I feel like I might be too optimistic in my prices and should be looking at homes costing 20%-40% lower than what I can comfortably afford so that I can put in a competitive bid?
