I live in Nevada which is community property. *When I buy a house next year, my husband will not be on the loan (long story…short sale gone bad in his name only) but I realize I have to list his debts. *That won’t be a problem because he will have none, but my question is, can I use his 401k as my liquid assets for mortgage purposes? *I should have the amount of liquid assets necessary in our savings account, plus the down payment and closing costs, but JUST IN CASE (yes, I’m paranoid), I want to see if this is a possiblity.
      Thank you in advance
