…transfer”? I bought something on eBay over 3 months ago using PayPal. Only recently I unpacked it and began using it and realised it was faulty. I messaged the seller and I was told that I can return it for an exchange. I sent it back to him and have heard nothing since, he’s been ignoring all my messages.

Since the time for a PayPal dispute has passed, I wanted to do a credit card chargeback, but I just realised that the payment wasn’t from my card, but it was an instant bank transfer.

Is there any sort of protection scheme for problems like this when paying my “instant bank transfer”?
