Is the exclamation point correct or should it go inside the quotes and be replaced by a comma?

In the play, the way Willy expresses his daily life with his family shows that he is happy and content with life “…Gee, look at the moon moving between the buildings” (Miller 69)! but on the inside, he is a frustrated salesman, “…Biff reaches behind the heater and draws out a length of rubber tubing…” (Miller 69).

    Thanks!
