We are looking to purchase a 2008 vehicle, very low miles. We will be trading in a 2007 low mileage car that we went into with negative equity and our interest rate and payments are very high. We will have enough of a down payment to cover all but about $ 1,500 of our negative equity. This equates to a $ 12,000 down payment.

We have worked really hard on our credit, no late pays what so ever on anything for three years. Debt to income ratio is great. Our credit pulls right at 700 from Trans-union, but more like 665 from Experian. I believe a finance manager has a choice on which bureau report to use and has an idea of which lenders will accept which reports. I don’t want to sound like an idiot though by contacting the finance manager and requesting he use only our Trans-union. Any thoughts?
