      …abandoned property? Or, do they prefer to leave a foreclosed home empty for looters, vandals, squatters, etc and let the property deteriorate from lack of care and up-keep?

      Perhaps they just write it off as a loss and get reimbursed by the government?

      And what does this do for the now homeless population they’ve created?
      Let’s blame it on the little guy. I thought responsible mortgage lenders checked-out the people they lent money to. That obviously was an oversight on their part. But blame the little guy who needs a roof over his head, and for all the natural disasters that occur, and for the recession. And let’s reward Wall Street & the Mortgage Companies for being irresponsible.
