Can I move out of my house if I have a lease and my landlord sells the house?

Me and my 2 roomates moved in 6 months ago and we still have yet to even have our landlords number! His daughter signed the lease for him and we have to mail our checks to him every month. We have had roof leaking issues and bug problems and have emailed and wrote them and nothing has been done. Now he is selling the property and we wanna just move out. Is that possible?
