I received an alert for a result on my DV with AFNI this morning from Experian. I checked it out and there were no changes. I called Verizon the OC and spoke to the (CSR) Customer Service Representative who apparently told me the account was sent to collection by them but there is no information on record for the account. I honestly do not think I own them but I can’t remember. Basically, the CSR told me she doesn’t know how much it is, what the collection is for or the account number since it is closed and no longer on record, however, it shows that I have an account that was sent to CA. So my question is how did AFNI DV the account? What should I do? I am contemplating sending a formal letter since I called the 3CRA and filed a dispute previously. Please advice anyone.
