I don’t post a lot, but I’ve been reading since 2008. I started off with scores in the low 600s – I had closed the few cards I had and I had no credit card debt, but no cards either. Now, a mere 3 years later, I have TU and EX FAKOs that hover around 750 and I was just approved for a Citi card with a $6500 limit. This brings my total available credit to $23,500 (not counting the $800 Macy’s card). Now I know that some of you have single cards with limits higher than that, but for me, this is a big deal. I have a BoA, a Chase and a Citi; all of my cards have rewards of some kind. I could never have imagined this when I first started learning about credit!

So thanks to everyone who posts and responds here and all the people who’ve shared their knowledge. Next stop, AmEx to get back that age from my 1996 Optima card.*:smileyvery-happy:
