thing is I had great credit last year, decided to make my payments easier and more convenient and consolidated them, not knowing that they would not pay two of my bills, and completely ruined my credit.

I now have one of my bills that did not work with my careone put it into collections, is this even legal?? anyways…

MY CREDIT HAS DROPPED AT LEAST 400 POINTS, would it go back up fast after i pay all these off or will it take several years?( if it takes forever bankruptcy is cheaper)

also-my hubbys credit score is better than mine now and he filed bankruptcy!! crazy eh.

3 Thoughts on credit score, with bankruptcy and consolidation?

i work for a collection agency and it will be much easier to go through bankruptcy. it just eliminates all of the hassle.

If you can pay off your debt than that would be the better way. Since you are married, unless your husband files for bankruptcy you will still owe this money in most States. It will take seven years for bad marks to drop off your credit report versus the ten years for a bankruptcy. If you can manage without going into bankruptcy than that is the better route since in the future you will not have to put that on credit forms.
