I’m an international student (actually was) in the US with an F1 visa. I have some credit card debt (a little over 3,000), and I just do not have the money to pay it right now! :(. I moved back home and most probably will not be going to the US in a long time, and even if I do go at one point, I will only visit (no need for credit cards or loans for that). I know this is bad but I have no choice right now, maybe I can manage to pay later, in a few years.
What’s the worst that could happen?

The worst thing that could happen is that some day you grow up, get a some sense of responsibility, and feel badly about stiffing someone.
But I doubt that will ever happen, so enjoy yourself deadbeat!

Nothing, its going to be on your credit file for at least 7 years but you said you wont be here for years to come and dont care so its not like they are going to come to your country and hunt you down and jail you.

You could be denied a visa if you tried to come back.

Other than that, Patrick is right.

    Stealing is bad.

The worst that could happen is that you will really have a hard time trying to get things from companies that check credit card dept. If you don’t have a good score then you won’t be getting much help from anybody…besides that…paying the dept back can be the hardest for people sometime.

Well I don’t know how it works overseas but if your planning to pay back, that 3000 you will be more cause of the intrest that acure. So if I was you I will try to pay what ever you can, so it won’t be more than 3000.
