Article Score0

I’m a college student & I’m considering getting a student credit card… I’ve got the sites open right now to apply for either one, but I don’t know which one to apply for… what do you think?

I don’t want to apply for both because every time your credit-score gets pulled your score gets affected, so I want to keep that to a minimum…

I don’t want the card “to spend it”, I want it “to build my credit”… so yeah… I don’t really care about interst rates, just about fees and such. (no annual fee makes for over 20% interest rate…)
Hehe, my bank is WaMu… go figure. :p

2 Thoughts on Chase, or Capital One?

I have both right now and I am a college student.

Captial One is nice and has student cards available. They also help watch your credit and give you credit reports. You can also get credit increases. I don’t have an annual fee with my Capital One card and I can’t remember my interest rate.

Chase is new to me. I had WAMU and they switched to Chase. I think they are about to start charging me an annual fee and I think they upped my interest rate. If it weren’t for the fact that this card looked better because of the higher limit I would drop it.

I hear better things usually about Capital One so I suggest going with that
or one from your bank =]

I have had them both and I prefer capital one over chase. no matter which one you pick make sure it has the best features that you can get with your credit. Make sure you have no annual fee and other features. If you really want to boost your credit score pay it off every month and you will boost your score quickly.
