I am a client with a certain company and I am paying back a loan, not a mortgage, but I had the disability insurance, and they paid 10,000 of a 14,000 loan, now they are telling me I owe 12,000. I asked how they figure, and they couldn’t tell me. I told them i was basically paying double. Can I have then audited!? Please help!

Most likely they paid the minimum on the loan – maybe interest only – leaving the balance still owing. You have a right to an accounting yes – you would most likely have to bring a law suit against them to get an audit. So start with a letter requesting an accounting of the payments and how they were applied. Also search the net for other disgruntled clients – you may find you are not alone.
