Say 4 men own a house. The house has to be put up for sale. One man is busting his ass to clean the house while the other three men are doing hardly anything to get their things out. Can the one man do something legally to force the 3 other men to empty their things from the house in order to sell it?
Remember, all 4 men own the house but only one man is selling it.

Once their notice to move out has expired, and probably another notice because some states are really lax on such things, the owner of the house can change the locks, and board up the windows, and throw away anything left behind.

That doesn’t make any sense. So are you selling the home or a share in the home? If only one man is selling it, you’re not actually selling the home – but a fraction of the home that the 1 man owns, correct? Because it is illegal to sell a home without the signatures/authorization of all the owners on title.

And no, you can’t legally force any homeowner on title to vacate the home or clean their things out to sell it. If they don’t want to, they don’t have to – they own it!
