I am a Canadian citizen. I have a successful online business and do not need a job in the US in order to make income. I would like buy a home in Orlando Florida next year and move my family there. My children will not need to go to school in the US because they are home schoolers. I do not need a Green card since I have my own work from home business. Is this possible? What is the procedure?

There is no residency requirement to buy a home, but getting a loan may be tricky. Home schooling you kids still requires some state oversight, you need to look into the requirements. Just because you do not need a Green Card for work, you still need a Green Card to be a permanent resident of the US.

you can buy the home no problem …1000s of Canadians do and you can visit 6 months of the years ..but you cannot live in the US without a visa

Sure thing, Canadians do it all the time. They usually come in November and leave in April or so to avoid the winter. Living permanently: I don’t know. That is a bit more complicated. If you want to live 6 months at a time then move back, that is much easier.

    There is the EB-5 visa
