Short of the obvious,is anyone fimiluar with working with a specific “bad credit” repair company. I have been told they can pretty much wipe your credit clean and find that very hard to believe. I have tax leins and a discharged bankruptcy on my report and was told they can wipe that out.Very doubtful i believe, and dont want to just start throwing money out to these people with no results. Can anyone reccommend the best and safest solution in repairing my history and what actually can be removed?

    To Repair credit score
Your credit score is based mostly on:

    1. Length of credit history
    2. Payment history.
    3. Ratio of credit used to available credit.
    4. Number of credit inquiries you authorized.

If you cancel your card, you’ll be hurting your credit ratio. (#3).

You want to deliberately keep your oldest credit card open, even if you never use it.

You want to always pay the minimums of each loan on time every month.

You want to keep your available credit high, but actually only have balances equalinig 25% or less.

You want to keep your credit inquiries to a minimum. Try for no more than 3 or 4 per year for any type of loans.

You do these things and your credit score will quickly soar into the 700s.

Credit repair outfits are a waste of everything and can’t do what they claim. Get with your creditors and lienholders and play “let’s make a deal.” Then start paying them off. It’s no big mysterious process.

tax leins and discharged bankruptcy can not be wiped out by a “bad credit” repair company. What they do is scam you. They do the same thing that you could do if you didn’t have the tax leins and discharged bankruptcy that takes a limited amount of time to come off automatically. 10 years for sure on the bankruptcy. tax leins may be longer. You do not have to pay back the discharged bankruptcy to get your credit back. It will happen in 10 years. But you can grow your credit back slowly as the 10 years go away. You do that by paying your bills on time and making sure you don’t apply for to many loans in a short period of time. Also, try not to have more out going than incoming money’s as far as the credit agencies can see. Make sure you pay your utilities on time also because they can also lower your score. I have no idea about the tax lein as far as paying them back to remove it.. Hopefully that isn’t one of those that is on there forever… GOOD LUCK…
