It is a big deal. You wouldn’t have said this 3 years ago.

It is true that people like you do not care, now.

Our national debt is at nearly $ 14.3 trillion dollars, and in total 23.6 million are out of a job.

Our govt has a reckless way of pissing away our tax dollars.

Dick Cheney said Deficits don’t matter, as he and Bush spent Trillions on Tax Cuts for the Wealthy.

It is an important issue… and people are kidding themselves if they think the current batch of republicans or democrats in Washington are going to do anything about it.

You do realize that Obama has quadrupled deficit spending, making his spending more than all previous presidents combine and he has added the same amount to the national debt in 2.5 years as Bush did in 8 years? What has you convinced that lying to yourself, and others, is beneficial?

Bush and Cheney were wrong on deficit spending if they thought the debt didn’t matter, just like Obama is wrong for thinking it doesn’t matter. Why is it so hard for you to break party lines and admit your guy is wrong, republicans can, and we have. The liberal mindset of lying to yourself and to others just to continue kicking the can down the road when we have a monetary crisis at hand isn’t going to solve anything and therefore liberals convince me more and more each day that they WANT the destruction of America.

I think Republicans are discovering that people aren’t as willing to follow them when they cry wolf about budgetary debt after they spent the first 6 years of Bush’s presidency trying to convince us that deficits didn’t matter.

First Obama has already passed debt creation by Bush in less than 3 years versus Bush’s 8.

LIberals are the ones that want us to pay for their houses, loans and tax breaks for everything else.
Conservatives pay their bills. If Newt was a liberal then he would have defaulted on his line of credit at Tiffanys, but as a conservative he paid it instead.

LOL, the truth is that the second they are in office you will not see the debt go down. Because as soon as it does they will give more tax cuts to the rich. The truth is they dont give a damn about the debt.

It is a big deal and people do care. What they are finding out though is that certain Government services ARE wanted by the American people, which requires the Federal Government to collect taxes to pay for them. As such, the real fiscally responsible person would make sure these ARE funded (not unfunded liabilities) instead of creating making empty promises (you can have it all by lowering taxes!)

    Um, no.

And this “Hey Bush did it too!” excuse is just plain grade school. Bush’s fiscal irresponsibility does not excuse or justify Obama’s extraordinary irresponsibility. If we maintain your level of grade school logic much longer, we’ll be a third world country in no time.

Have you heard of Greece? They are now in dire straights, they will at the very least have to sell off their own islands to try desperately to dig out of the mess that they have made from spending what they did not have. Their very existence is now in the hands of the stronger nations of the EU and it doesn’t look good at all for Greece and a few of the other nations.

You can not be as unintelligent as you seem. You must, somewhere in your brain, understand that we can not continue to spend as we have in the past two administrations. We are digging the same hole that Greece and a few other nations have but the difference is that we have no one to bail us out. You snark that Republicans should watch out for cliffs but you better look down because were all standing on one now no mater what party your desperately clinging to.

The stimulus package was more than $ 700 billion. There are only 7 billion people on the planet. It appears $ 100 billion per person can’t fix the economy. It appears you can’t just throw more money at something and expect it to be fixed. If trickle up economics works how much do you have to spend per person on the planet to fix an economy with 306,327,600 people in it? I know I should stop. There is too much logic here for a liberal mind to handle.

It was a big deal for you when Bush put us more in debt. And a few years ago democrats were saying this was a criminal amount of debt Bush was causing and he should be impeached. And Obama has gotten into even more debt and democrats aren’t saying anything! Plus it took Bush 8 years to get us that amount of debt and it only took Obama 2 years.

Do you attend Columbia? I understand now why you believe it is no big deal. There is a lot of brain washing going on at many universities for a false ideology. I am very concerned about how equally poor the generations that follow wil be with this type of thinking.

I pray that you and your generation wake up before it is too late, as the debt truly is a huge deal, especially when you find no jobs are available to you upon graduation, and if you are fortunate enough to get a job, the major portion of your check will go to pay off the debt…
