So last time i called microsoft about my rrod problem, they told me, i could request a repair online send it in, and they’d fix my xbox for free and handle the shipping as well. So today i went to do waht they said only to find out as soon as i registered my xbox it shows that ill have to pay 99 dollars and ask for credit card info(Wait wut they said it was free repair for rrod!!!!!!) so i dont feel like calling them back because it’ll probably end with them lieing to me about it still being free when its not again >_< im not sure if this is because of their recent new changes or what, but if you can please help explain why its not free anymore. also is there any other places in the us states that would take a broken xbox 360(RROD) and repair it for a small fee, or take it in and give you money(Like only a lil bit since its rrod once again). thanks in advance for the help. The guy i spoke to did know my xbox had no warranty(Since it was preowned from gamestop) and im not sure if he was a new employee or not.

If you don’t have a warranty, then you have to pay for the repairs. That’s just the way it is. The guy you spoke to was probably a new employee or you didn’t tell him you had no warranty and he assumed you did.
