NO WAY should you let him on your credit card! If he has bad credit, let him fix it up first! Keep yours and his separate, it is in BOTH of your best interest!

If the two of you are together on it, his will bring yours down….if you ever wanted to get a loan for a home or something, you could do it with JUST YOUR credit! His will only hurt you. He needs to fix his own crap.

It wont hurt yours if you take care of it. I know that creditors are bad about trying to tie a spouse’s credit to the other. I would check your credit once in a while and make sure they dont do that.

the only way you “hurt” your score is to sign for accounts that end up in bad standing or othwerwise screwed up.

why is everyone so obsessed with their credit score anyhow?

It does not hurt your score if you add him as a user. But it will not help his score either. What happens with the card is reported to your credit report, not his.
