Due to fire, we need to know: is it worth hiring a public Insurance Adjusters?

My family has a small barn and it burnt down last week. We find out that the ins. co. covered us for too little and gave us $ 0 for the contents. We want to know is it worth hiring a public adjuster? We had about $ 40,000 worth of equipment… it was storage also for allot of auto household items since my father is a mechanic and mother does ebay sales. We appreciate any help you can provide.

What cheap groceries can I buy to last 2 weeks? I only have $20 to spend and hate ramen noodles?

Will be without homeowner’s policy for a few months while preparing to build new house. Not renting an apartment either so need a policy to cover contents of storage unit. Unit is in a commercial storage facility that is fenced and secured. Only I will have key to my unit.
