My boyfriend and I have taken over a lease at a townhouse and the lower floor carpet needs to be replaced. It’s stained and frayed on the edges. The landlord says we don’t get new carpet because we didn’t have to put a deposit down, but we get wear and tear “credit” what the heck does that mean?
