I live in a condo, downstairs unit. Recently, the ceiling of my bathroom was damaged due to a plumbing issue of the upstairs unit. Luckily, the damage will be covered by the insurance company of the resident upstairs, and I do not need to pay anything out-of-pocket.
Today, I received a release form from the insurance company, requesting my signature and also signature of a “witness to signature”.
In this case, who can be a witness? Can I pick any of my friends?

and do a title search, how do i find out if thw owner didn’t recently take out a loan somewhere else and used the house as calaterall like a personal loan….. or a house at a forecloser auction is there a way to protect yourself from that? PLACES THAT WILL LOAN YOU MONEY TO BUY [...]
