Samsung Rogue and Audio Books / and the browser

I understand this is not exactly a smartphone.  I moved from T-mobile to Verizon because of friends that have it and they seem to have better phones.  I am simply flabbergasted by the level of security Verizon has to lock down their phones from letting users do what they want with them.  After hours and hours of research I finally found how to do most of what I wanted to.   There is one thing that I either do not know how to do, or for some reason they do not have as a feature.    The V-Cast music player will read M4a and M4b audio book files, but will not save playback location in either Mp3, M4a, or M4b files.  This means that the audio book that I put onto my phone will not save its location and I have to write down where in the book I am every time I exit the player.  Even my 4 year old Nokia 6133 flip phone will remember where you are in an Mp3 file.   The other concern I have is about the browser.  Youtube says it will no longer be supporting this browser, and considering the phone just came out not long ago and I just bought it a few weeks ago, something has to be in the works for getting a new browser onto the phone.  Also, the mobile flash is out of date and a lot of the videos will not play because of it.   In regards to the media bookmarking. If it will not do it I assume they will probably release an app to get you to pay extra for the feature, as it seems Verizon likes to take your money any chance they get.
