Is it legal in California to force or require apartments tenants to purchase renter insurance?

The renter insurance that the landloard requires include BOTH personal property coverage and personal liability coverage. Doesn’t the owner of the apartment have the insurance to protect the damage to the building or unit
(i.e. liability)? Why am I liable to buy the coverage?

I have seen small signs for local busineses (like credit repair call this number etc.) posted on telephone poles etc.from time to time. I’d like to advertise my business this way as long as I’m not likely to get fined. How about sticking small signs into the ground on public property at intersections etc. like the politician do? Is this allowable to do?

In response to my WANTED advertisement to hiring someone to trim my cedar hedge in my garden, a person saying that he is a 4th yr univeristy student would like to perform the service for $ 10 an hour.

He may perform the service tomorrow or next week. As he needs to climb up a ladder to trim the cedar hedge, I want to know if he unfortunately falls down from from MY ladder and hurts himself or hurts himself with my electric hedge trimmer, what is my legal and financial responsibility for his injuries?

OR, should I ask him to sign a waiver for injuries?

OR, is his injuries covered under my house insurance policy?

While in college in 2006 I was broke, missed some credit card payments and had one item in collection.

Now I keep zero balance in my three credit cards and my car and house payments are less than 30% of my income before taxes, but my score seems to stay just below 700, going up and down a bit every month.

Any way to increase my credit score without having to wait 7 years for my record to clean up?
