Are video games really that bad?

I've been playing some pretty graphic video games with my son these past few nights. For the most part, I sat watching him play because I'm not that good at all and Dead Space is one player, so after I'm ripped apart I hand the controller over to him and watch it like a movie. Anyway, he also showed me Resident Evil 5 and BioShock. I was asking him what the objective of the games were. His explanations were a little more elaborate than jumping over barrels and not falling off the board. What he described to me sounded more like novels. I was surprised how creative the back stories were. It really kept me interested in the game. Each level was more like a chapter, getting more intense the more involved it got. There was very little difference between these stories and what you could read in a sci-fiction novel. Any thoughts?

Imagio vs Droid vs Omnia 2????

I currently have an LG Dare ... LOVE IT!    Except for the part that it doesn't sync my Outlook Calendar and Contacts.   I found a program (SyncCell) that worked until my computer was upgraded to 64-bit XP and now it only works 20% of the time.   Anyhoo ...   How I use my phone:   -As a phone -As an MP3 player -As a phonebook -Calendar -To check webmail -To check Facebook -The occasional text -As a time-waster when waiting for things   I have friends pushing the Droid.   But I'm not sure I like the capacitive only screen.   Sometimes you want the pin-point accuracy a stylus (or fingernail) will get you ... or sometimes you don't want to take off your gloves!   This really is a 90% deal breaker.   I'm ready to say "no" if my other options are at least "almost" as good.   I do like my games.   I'm a puzzle/simple game person.   Solitaire, Sudoku, kid games, etc.   Nothing terribly fancy.   I'm also woo-ed by the other apps out there...bar code scanner (which I've seen on more than just the Droid), drawing pad  etc.   Thoughts?

Looking for a good ‘application killer’ for WinMo 6.1

I've done a great deal of searching, and to my infinite frustration all of the common search engines some how are mistaking "application killer" for "killer application" which everyone and their mom thinks that their applicaton is killer, and so the search has been completely worthless.   My TP2 has awesome battery life but as everyone knows, I open / close Skyfire, and Youtube, and the games I play on it and before you know it, the 58% memory it starts up with turns into 80% memory and the batterylife goes down quick, and the phone slows down a lot. So I have to turn it off, turn it back on a few times every day to get it back to its 58%. And of course I check "running apps" and nothing's on there.   I also searched the forum quite a bit and nothing was ringing bells for when we used to talk about app killers way back when.   So I was pretty please hoping people could take 2 seconds and drop some app killer names for me that would be friendly to my TP2.   Much, much appreciated.
